People & Talent Partner
We’re building the next generation of motion sensors using pioneering photonic MEMS technology. Backed by top investors and led by world-class engineers and scientists, our mission is to make precise navigation possible everywhere, even where GPS fails.
We’re now looking for a People & Talent Partner to help us grow and support a high-performing, inclusive team. This role sits at the heart of our business, part builder, part culture champion, and all-in on shaping how our people experience life at Zero Point.
What You’ll Be Doing:
People & Culture
People Ops & HR
- Own core people operations – onboarding, offboarding, contracts, right-to-work, leave management, and compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and systems, ensuring up-to-date information on payroll, benefits, and employment details
- Coordinate payroll, pensions, and staff benefits (e.g. private medical, group life assurance) in partnership with Finance and our brokers
- Partner closely with our Office Manager on day-to-day HR coordination and delivering people & talent initiatives
- Support managers with employee relations, performance conversations, and probation reviews
- Build simple, scalable people policies that reflect our values and meet legal obligations
- Lead on annual people processes (e.g. salary review, feedback cycles, development planning)
Culture & Engagement
- Partner closely with our Office Manager on team events and engagement
- Help embed and evolve our culture as we scale, from team rituals to leadership principles
- Design and deliver DEI initiatives to ensure inclusive, equitable experiences for all team members
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on team development and engagement strategies
- Lead employee feedback processes and action planning (e.g. pulse surveys, retrospectives)
Learning & Development
- Champion personal growth by identifying and implementing relevant development opportunities
- Build frameworks for career progression and role clarity
- Support managers in developing their leadership capability
Talent Acquisition
Hiring Strategy & Planning
- Partner with leadership to shape and deliver a strategic hiring roadmap
- Align recruitment efforts with company OKRs, growth plans, and team structure
Sourcing & Candidate Experience
- Own outreach and sourcing for niche roles (e.g. MEMS, Photonics, Machine Learning)
- Deliver an inclusive and engaging hiring process from first contact to offer stage
- Own our employer brand presence across LinkedIn, university networks, and job boards
- Help shape Zero Point’s presence at industry events and recruitment fairs
Process & Tools
- Own and optimise our ATS (TeamTailor) and recruitment workflows
- Define and track key hiring metrics to continuously improve how we hire
- Provide hiring managers with interview toolkits (questions, scoring rubrics, feedback templates)
You’ll Be Great In This Role If You…
- Have 5+ years of experience in a generalist People/HR or Talent role in a startup or scaling tech company
- Are comfortable switching between strategic thinking and hands-on delivery
- Know what good looks like across the employee lifecycle and have ideas to build what’s next
- Have strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Are experienced in running inclusive, high-quality recruitment processes
- Love working with data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
- Are passionate about building strong, values-led cultures
- Are collaborative, approachable, and thrive in a fast-moving environment
Start date: Ideally latest 1st September 2025, but we can be flexible for the right person.
